TNS Smart Network, Nautilus Hyosung get EMV certification with Interac
TORONTO — TNS Smart Network Inc., now a subsidiary of NRT Technology Corp., has received EMV terminal certification for the Nautilus Hyosung MoniMax 5000CE with the Interac Association.
According to a news release, the certification marks the first for a white-label ATM in Canada. Nautilus Hyosung Inc. and Moneris Solutions accomplished the certification together.
Being the first in Canada to certify EMV transactions is a wonderful achievement," said John Dominelli, TNS president and chief executive. "We are extremely proud and wish to thank Nautilus Hyosung and Moneris Solutions for their valued input."
Carlos Siewcynski, vice president of North American retail self-service for Hyosung America Inc., says the certification of the MX5000 CE models is a first step toward fully EMV compliant Nautilus Hyosung products. The company expects its 1500 and 1800 ATM series models to get EMV certification this summer.
TNS Smart Network processes transactions for more than 13,000 ATMs in Canada and works with more than 170 independent sales organizations.
