Seoul, Korea - Nautilus Hyosung, a manufacturer of self service banking
terminals, says its
Monimax 7600T has successfully passed a system test for the counterfeit
detection and bill
validation, based on the requirements of the European Central Bank’s article 6.
Due to this bill being passed, the ATM industry in Korea is expected to garner
about 10,000
As this approval is valid in all euro member states, the Monimax 7600T model
need not be
Currently, Korea has 3 different types of bills equivalent to .80cents, 4
dollars and 8 dollars at
submitted for tests to other euro areas. With this approval, Nautilus Hyosung
has become one
of the few ATM manufacturers that have the in-house developed counterfeit
detection and bill
validation technology to date.
Monimax 7600T is a full function ATM that accepts both bundled cash and bundled
check for
automatic deposit. To this date since 2007, about 2,000 Monimax 7600 series
ATMs were
installed at CITI Bank branches in the U.S.
