DALLAS – October 10, 2011 – Nautilus Hyosung America, the partner of choice for financial institutions seeking differentiated automated-service solutions in branch and off-premise environments, today set the new benchmark for enhanced self-service delivery for financial institutions in announcing the market launch of three key innovations. These dynamic solutions will make self-service delivered transactions easier to conduct, faster to complete and more efficient than ever to operate. Hyosung is recalibrating the standard for consumer convenience, showcasing leading edge consumer interface, deposit processing, and cash recycling offerings at BAI Retail Delivery’s Conference & Expo 2011 (booth 313D). These unique features are available across some full function members of the Monimax family of Nautilus Hyosung solutions.
"Quality and innovation go hand-in-hand at Nautilus Hyosung. Our latest innovations are a testament to how skillfully and quickly we can bring new, groundbreaking products and capabilities to market, thereby enabling our customers to provide exceptional experiences to their clients," said Charles Jung, Chief Executive Officer of Nautilus Hyosung America. "We continue to build upon our momentum in the U.S. through our ability to deliver innovative quality engineered solutions, establishing ourselves as the partner of choice for financial institutions."
Chief among Nautilus Hyosung’s new offerings is a first-of-its-kind mixed media single throat deposit technology. Unlike other offerings which do not support mixed media, Hyosung’s Check and Cash in Module (CCiM) technology accepts mixed bundle deposits up to 50 bank notes and 50 checks with the media interspersed and in any orientation. Additionally, the CCiM allows for simultaneous mixed bundle processing that filters rejected or retracted notes to separate bins within the module itself. Giving customers even greater power of choice, Nautilus Hyosung will offer both single- and dual-throat deposit automation modules on advanced-function ATM models.
Nautilus Hyosung’s two other stand-out features being unveiled at the BAI Retail Delivery conference are the industry’s first ever 22" vertical touch screen interface and a cash recycling module. Showcased as part of Nautilus Hyosung’s newest ATM model, the Monimax 8200, these features will join the CCiM as options available to customers.
The pioneering vertical interface concept is part of Nautilus Hyosung’s ongoing investment to stay in front of both business and consumer trends. This feature offers direct benefits to the true ATM end-user by speaking to the growing consumer preference towards vertical scroll-down touch-screens that mirror popular tablets and smartphone capabilities. By integrating such a landmark feature into its overall ATM designs, Nautilus Hyosung offers ATM deployers the ability to better engage and interact with customers through a design feature that truly conforms to their operational preferences or tendencies. It also compliments the other technologies by allowing for more data (i.e., deposited checks) to populate in one screen shot with minimal interaction and screen movement.
Once again demonstrating the company’s breadth and depth of offerings that advance deposit automation, Nautilus Hyosung’s new cash recycling, dispensing and depositing systems also adds speed to both ends of the ATM process. Operating between five different cassettes for unsurpassed convenience and service speed, the recycling system sorts and replenishes cash supplies faster and with greater accuracy. This feature will extend the withdrawal capacity and enhance the reliability of the deposit function. In this manner, recycling at the ATM can lower service costs and lengthen terminal availability.
Currently the third largest supplier of ATMs in the United States, Nautilus Hyosung America has shipped more than 180,000 ATMs since entering the US market in 1998. For more information about Nautilus Hyosung, please visit www.nhatm.com or call 1-877-HYOSUNG.
